Rotterdam/Kirkland – MidMountain Contractors, VolkerWessels’ subsidiary in Kirkland, Washington (USA) has signed a contract worth over US$ 40 million with Sound Transit, the governmental authority responsible for regional public transport.
The project “D to M Streets Track and Signal Work” in Tacoma,
Washington, includes the laying of a 2.25 km long light rail link that
will enable commuters to ride through to the South Tacoma and Lakewood

Avenue the project also includes a new rail viaduct. The project is
scheduled to be completed at the end of 2012.
Gerard van de Aast, Chairman of VolkerWessels’ Board of Management: "This order fits in with our strategy of further expansion in North
