VolkerRail will perform daily railway maintenance in and around Amsterdam from 1 October 2017. The work is being commissioned by Dutch railway maintenance and extension organisation ProRail.
The parties have signed a five-year performance-based maintenance (PBMC) contract. This type of contract gives the contractor more freedom to deliver the requested performance using its own methods.
Amsterdam is a complex and important railway junction where national and international trains come together. Everything meets at Amsterdam Central Station.
VolkerRail is a market leader in railway maintenance in the Netherlands, performing maintenance in various regions including the four key junctions of Schiphol, Utrecht, Rotterdam and, from October 2017, Amsterdam.
