VolkerFitzpatrick has been awarded a €33.6 million contract to redevelop an impressive office and retail building in the City of London.
Built in the 1990s, 24 King William Street is opposite Monument tube station and features seven storeys of offices and retail at ground level.
Work undertaken by the specialist building division of VolkerFitzpatrick will see the existing building stripped back to frame for structural strengthening works before extending the floor space, adding two new floors and refurbishing the interior. The Façade will be replaced with a bespoke unitised curtain walling system clad in natural stone.
The project will begin in January 2016 and is expected to be complete by summer 2017.
